Alzheimer’s Support Group

A support group offers a safe place for caregivers, families, and friends of persons with dementia to meet and develop a mutual support system. It's a place to exchange information on caregiving problems, talk through challenges and ways of coping, share feelings and needs, and learn about resources available in your community.

For information on Alzheimer’s support groups, call 704-603-2778 and ask for the Care Manager. You will be provided with information on a support group in your area led by individuals trained by the Alzheimer’s Association. In Rowan County, the Alzheimer’s Support Group meets on the 4th Thursday of the month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Rufty-Holmes Senior Center in Salisbury.
